Interwoven Bodies [EN] with Niki Stylianou / Xenia Deimezi / Ira Spagadorou

UPCOMING

The Session Schedule

1st Session (November 4):
Inner listening
Focus on individual presence and the gradual transition from speech to silence. Through gentle practices of body awareness, breathing, and intuitive movement, we observe our inner states and how they manifest in the body. Thread is introduced as a personal material and an extension of movement. The session concludes with a non-verbal impression of the experience through drawing and materials.

2nd Session (November 11):
The material gesture
Exploration of the relationship between body and matter. Inner sensation is translated into gestures of winding, connecting, tension, relaxation, pulling, and releasing. The thread becomes a carrier of emotion and intention. Each participant creates their own temporary material trace while beginning to observe the presence of others.

3rd Session (November 18):
From the individual to the collective
Interaction and relationship building without spoken communication. Individual threads begin to meet. Responding to the movements, boundaries, and propositions of others, we gradually create a shared network. The collective construction develops without a predetermined plan, through acts of observation, negotiation, trust, and care.

4th Session (November 25):
Weaving, release, personal testimony
Bodies, threads, and individual traces are interwoven into a temporary collective installation. A moment of silent observation follows, where the group bears witness to the shared work. The cycle closes with non-verbal reflection (we draw, print, and sew our answers onto paper) and a final act of releasing the construction. Finally, we return to verbal expression to honor and archive our experience.
